"Less than 10 movements in two hours
(No consensus on what is a 'normal' number of fetal movements because these
vary from 4 to 100 per hour)
Incidence 20%
Significance:
70 per cent of women with one episode of RFM will have normal outcome.
5 per cent will have recurrence that should be taken seriously as it is associated
with a poor outcome.
Management:
Lack of prompt management is a contributing factor for stillbirth.
However there is no consensus on the correct mangement."
