"CA catalyzes the reaction:
CO2 + H2O = H2CO3 (carbonic acid)
Na then combines with H2CO3 in the tubular cell to form NaHCO3
CA inhibtor hence causes:
a)Decrease Na absorption in tubules- hence their use as diuretic agents.
b)Redxuces bicarbonate formation - hence Used to reacidfy the blood n respiratory alkalosis.
